Amenabar directs Rachel Weisz in the blockbuster set in a quarter century



Blessed among the mummies - After twice escaped the clutches of the evil priest Imhotep Rachel Weisz back in the land of the pharaohs.
But this time it is a very different film from the saga fracassone signed by Stephen Sommers.
As reported by Cinematical, the charming actress of Hungarian origin, will star in Agora, the second film after The Others, shot in English by English director Alejandro Amenabar. The brunette Rachel will play Hypatia of Alexandria famous astronomer of antiquity and the first martyr pagan.
The male protagonist, however, will Max Minghella, a slave suspended between love for Hypatia and the Christian faith. A

iperealista Egypt - Agora will be released in 2009 and because the film is inspired by true events (Hypatia, together with Madame Curie, was a delegate most famous scientist ever existed) Amenabar has chosen an approach as possible probable to each other.
The intention of the director is to recreate every detail of the fourth century Alexandria, a city torn by religious conflicts. So do not expect beetles cannibal mummies or dancers.
